Tina Walker - October 16, 2025: High Country Spotlight and Shopper - Longtime resident Tina Walker talked to the Rotary members this week about her several years journey with the High-Country Spotlight and Shopper, starting as an employee and ultimately becoming owner. The Shopper began 37 years ago as a place for locals to place advertisements for businesses, personal sales and other activities. Tina told of its transition from a “buy/sell/trade” publication to a traditional newspaper which occurred in July 2022. This has changed its focus from selling stuff to telling stories as well. |
