Our YOUTH SERVICES Committee needs both members and leadership. We currently have no active Rotarians serving on that committee.
YOUTH SERVICES is responsible for:
Dictionaries to 3rd graders
HS Mock-Interviews
and RYLA [Rotary Youth Leadership Award] - the leadership development retreat that we send two HS students to each summer
We need active and engaged members for this committee. Part of this committee needs to be not only providing these programs but finding sustainable ways to raise money for these programs. This will be the third year of paying for these programs through Reserve funds. We are committed to keeping these programs as long as there is interest and support, but some significant progress toward a more sustainable solution needs to happen in the next 12 months.
Please let me know if you are interested, or email
youthservices@nfvrotary.org if you are interested in working to help make sure these events continue to happen.
Our COMMUNITY Committee is also in need of membership and leadership.
The COMMUNITY Committee is responsible for raising funds and distributing them to community initiatives, and also finding ways for our Rotarians to engage and support our community.
In the past the committee has put on events like the Murder Mystery and a film festival to contribute to local groups.
Participation in events like the Sept 2023 Celebrate Community River Park restoration and Oct 2024 West Elk Challenge and our highway clean ups would also fall under the COMMUNITY Committee.
Please let me know if you are interested, or email
community@nfvrotary.org if you are interested in this committee.
